Apogee Federal Credit(Apogeeās Federal Scholarship Tax Credit Program)
Apogee Federal Credit is our program supporting the new Federal Scholarship Tax Credit, which begins in 2027. Eligible individual taxpayers may receive a federal tax credit for qualifying cash contributions to approved Scholarship Granting Organizations. Georgia has elected to participate, and Apogee is actively developing the systems and processes needed to support our partner schools, donors and families as additional guidance becomes available.
What We Know
- The program is scheduled to begin January 1, 2027.

- Eligible individual taxpayers may receive a federal tax credit of up to $1,700 for qualifying cash contributions.
- Contributions must be made to an approved Scholarship Granting Organization.
- The program is designed to expand scholarship opportunities for eligible students.
- Scholarship recipients must generally come from households with income no greater than 300% of the area median income.
Current Status
Georgia has elected to participate in the program. Apogee is preparing for implementation while awaiting additional guidance regarding the approval process for Scholarship Granting Organizations.
