Partner School FAQ

How can our school become an Apogee partner school?

It is easy to get started. Eligible private schools must be accredited or in the process of accreditation through a state-recognized accrediting organization. Please contact Apogee so that we can discuss the participation process and how the tax credit scholarship program can support your school community.

What types of schools are eligible to participate?

Accredited Georgia private schools, as well as private schools in the process of obtaining accreditation through a state-recognized accrediting organization, may be eligible to participate. Please contact Apogee to confirm eligibility and discuss the next steps.

How can Apogee help communicate the program to our community?

Apogee provides resources to help partner schools educate their communities and encourage participation in the tax credit scholarship program. Available support may include donor communication materials, customized brochures, digital resources, and assistance developing a communication strategy that fits your school’s needs.

How do schools recommend students for scholarships?

Schools submit a scholarship recommendation form for each eligible student through the Partner School Portal. Apogee reviews each request to confirm eligibility and available funding. Schools must also provide the parent authorization form to each scholarship recipient who has not previously completed one.

When can scholarship recommendations be submitted?

Scholarship recommendations may be submitted at any time for eligible students, subject to the school’s available scholarship balance.

How are scholarship awards paid to schools?

Once Apogee has reviewed the submitted scholarship recommendations and confirmed that all required parent authorization forms have been completed, Apogee sends the approved scholarship funds directly to the school by ACH transfer. The school will also receive an emailed letter identifying the students included in the payment.

Is a parent authorization form required?

Yes. A parent or legal guardian must complete a parent authorization form before scholarship funds can be transferred to the school. Once completed, the authorization remains on file so the parent does not need to submit a new form each year while the student continues to receive scholarship support at the school.
